What an amazing space! The staff and facilities were well above what I expected.
The care taken with the animal and the service with people who are looking to adopt is 5 star.
For my family who are first timers, I felt the staff took time to allow us getting completely confident and well equiped before committing to adopting and let home. Purchases available for all the pet needs there on site and can donate goods or money for the animals too.
Carpark has one entry and one exit, Ample parking. Clean and sanitiser available.
I could hear the cries of a baby kitten when I went to my car. Across the road in a vacant house was a newly born kitten crying.
It still had its eyes shut and must have been less than 24 hours old.
I used an old tea towel and picked it up and drove it to A.W.L.
It cried all the way there. Once I got there I was able to leave the poor kitten with the dedicated staff of A.W.L.
Oh my god these people are so great. It broke my heart hearing the cries of the kitten which they hear each day
Donate any of your books, brick a back which you no longer want or need to the A.W.L. so they can sell in their swift shops to raise money for the animals.
I do.
They are also after the cardboard from toilet rolls and paper towels as well as egg cartons to use for the animals.
A great organisation.
Always had a positive experience here. Have been adopting animals here since before they had electronic systems haha! Have been happy to donate extra food/kennels/etc to here where possible too. A lovely atmosphere and an equally lovely place to give an animal a new lease on life. Recommended.
Great staff even after adoption. Please, if you are able to adopt an animal, then do so here, don't buy backyard animals.
The employees there are so friendly helpfully and very honest with their information in regards to adoption of their dogs. Would definitely recommend everyone who is looking for a new fur baby to have a look at these guys..
Busta is doing well, have had him since may. He's a big part of our family, an is spoilt badly. ❤️
Just picked the furry kids up from their most recent stay, and they seem to have had a good time as usual. They have come home happy and healthy (and smelling way better than when we dropped them off!). The staff are really nice, and they have plenty of little add on packages to let your pups be pampered. We have been bringing our dogs here for a couple of decades and haven't found a reason to take them anywhere else.
Had a behind the scenes visit with other supporters of the AWL to celebrate their 60 th birthday. It is a very new purpose built facility housing mainly cats and dogs with a few rabbits too.
The staff are passionate about their jobs. Praise too to the amazing volunteers and the passionate people that foster animals in their home.
I have had two very different experiences with AWL that I barely know where to start.
I had the most infuriating experience with Stephanie who answered my email …
This place is very beautiful, it taken a long time to design and build but it is very nice. The staff are always very kind and helpful and always willing to lend a hand. I have so far fostered once and it was an amazing experience.
